The Story

Hey drink enthusiasts,
and all 12 of my followers.

This site started as a way to share a cocktail recipe book I'd been building for myself — a collection of classics, deep cuts, and a few originals that actually turned out well. At some point it made more sense to put it online than to keep texting people PDF links.

The whole point of this place is to be the opposite of every other recipe site on the internet. No ads. No 800-word story about how a margarita reminds me of a summer in Tuscany. No pop-ups asking you to subscribe to a newsletter. Just the drink, the ingredients, and how to make it.

I'm a home bartender who got obsessive about it. I've made some genuinely terrible things along the way — there were several failed attempts before Sam's No. 5 came together. The original recipe was written on a notecard with a lot of scribbled-out parts. That's how most good things happen.

If you find a recipe here that becomes your go-to, that's the whole win. Cheers.

Sam's No. 5

My first original that didn't taste terrible. A riff on the Corpse Reviver No. 2 — floral, citrus, and tart. Named after the five ingredients. Find it on the Recipes page under Gin.
